Q1: What makes the King Hit an industrial grade duplicator?
The King Hit provides many auto HDD loaders (Plug-In-Fixtures) for cost and labor reductions of 80% or more. Network functions also enable industrial customers to adapt to product fluctuation between different models. Also, flash-able firmware will provide complete "hard drive TEST" and "secure data DESTRUCTION" capabilities for industrial professionals in need of total life cycle management of their hard drives.
Q2: What is mirror copy technology?
The Mirror Copy function copies all sectors in a given drive from beginning to end. It is able to copy any type of known or unknown data because it does not look at drive structures. Note that the Target drive must be of equal or greater in capacity to the Master drive.
Q3: What is the” E5 Mapping Copy” function?
The E5 Mapping copy function is used for NON FAT/NTFS OS data only copying. It will store “E5h” data initially into non-useful data areas of the Master hard drive. Once E5 mapping copy is performed, the “E5h” data will only copy those data areas and save the operation time.
*Master hard drive must be E5 pre-formatted.
Q4: What is the” FS Mapping Mirror copy”?
The FS Mapping Mirror copy function analyzes the drive structures and only copies sectors that are occupied by useful files and data. This technology is for all Master drives that contain FAT16/FAT32/NTFS type partitions (MS-DOS or Windows). Note that the Target drive must be of equal or greater capacity to the Master drive.
Q5: What is the "FS Mapping Flexible copy”?
The FS Mapping Flexible copy analyzes the drive structures and only copies sectors that are occupied by useful files and data. It also adjusts the various drive structures and sizes. This technology is for all master drives that contain FAT16/FAT32 type partitions only. Note that the Target drive must be of equal or greater capacity to the Master drive.
Q6: Can I really duplicate 59 hard drives at once?
Yes, when networking, the King Hit series can copy up 59 Target Hard Drives simultaneously from one (1) Master Hard Drive. To achieve 59 copies at once you would need one a master machine and 9 additional slave machines. If your production volume were to shift in the future, each slave machine could be changed to a different network configuration.
Q7: What options are available?
We offer 1.8, 2.5 and 3.5 inch hard drive plug-In jigs. A 2.5 inch adapter option and Terminal software (Control via Host PC) are also available . Please ask us for other available options.
Q8: How do I check ERROR Messages?
- After failure, check the error message.
- If the message reads "Device Not Found" then the problem is most likely a cable, adapter, or terminator problem.
- Replace SCSI cable, SCSI Adapter, or SCSI Terminator with new a one.
- If other error messages appear, please contact YEC International for support.
**To view the error message, go to "Device Info."
Q9: Will this equipment format a HDD if it is password protected?
If the HDD is password locked, this item will NOT format the HDD. It will display an error message stating that there is a password lock on the HDD (ABORT). We offer a separate product that is able to lock/unlock HDD passwords called the HDD Rock. Please follow the link below for more information.
