Q1: What is SPECIAL about the King Deca compared to software?
The King Deca performs full hard drive diagnostics including the same functions that HDD manufacturers use. The King Deca's diagnostics eliminate a PC's hardware limitations so that the user can issue any ATA raw level command directly to a Hard Drive and get true response from the HD. Script languages are supplied to customize the Hard Drive testing and diagnostics.
Q2: What other features does the King Deca offer besides Hard Drive diagnostics?
Extra standard functions include "Duplication", TEST" and "Secure Data WIPE" with an easy to use menu. This is an all-in-one tool for total life cycle management of a Hard Drives. It is all that an industrial professional needs from of the Hard Drive until it is scrapped. .
Q3: What software does the King Deca come with?
Software is provided with the hardware unit. This software will help the user to organize the diagnostic operations and execute customized script.
Q4: Can the King Deca perform a Hard Drive life expectancy test?
Yes, we provide a script used by many PC manufacturers in Japan (comes with equipment). There is also an optional temperature cycle chamber available.
Q5: Does the King Deca work with any SATA, and ATA interface Hard Drive?
Yes, the King Demi has native connectors for SATA, and ATA interface..
Q6: What options are available?
There are 1.8, 2.5 and 3.5 inch hard drive plug-In jigs available. Temperature chambers are also available for the life expectancy test. Please ask us for other available options.
Q7: Will this equipment format a HDD if it is password protected?
If the HDD is password locked, this item will NOT format the HDD. It will display an error message stating that there is a password lock on the HDD. We offer a separate product that is able to lock/unlock HDD passwords called the HDD Rock. Please follow the link below for more information. Shinobi
