Thank you!

Meet the Staff: Technical Department

This month we are focusing on our technical support staff. Our tech department is an integral part of our company and handles all customer technical issues as well as helping the rest of the office out when we have our own, in-office technical issues.

This is our second installment of our Meet the Staff articles, where we are introducing each department in our office (and the individuals that make them up) that you work with either directly or indirectly on a daily basis. We believe that building a personal connection between us here in the office and you, or resellers, helps us create and foster better working relationship.

Bill Snyder
Technician

Hello. My name is Bill Snyder, and I've been working for YEC International for a little over 2 years. I started out as the shipping guy, but quickly moved to the Tech Department because it's something I enjoy much more. I'm involved in all aspects of the Tech Department; everything from customer support to development of custom firmware.

I'm currently a full-time student working towards a B.S. in Computer Science at California State University, Long Beach. I plan to graduate in Spring 2009.

Outside the office, I like to play and watch baseball, work on computers, and spend time with friends and family.

Russ Winters
Technician

Hi all! My name is Russell Winters (Russ for short) and I just recently joined the staff of YEC International to act primarily as the data recovery technician. I was born and raised in Long Beach, CA; but I recently moved locally to Cypress, CA. I have worked in the field of computers for about 5 years, but have been working with computers since a young age. I attended Westwood College to study software engineering, but after a year decided that programming wasn’t my niche and have since focused on the hardware side of things.

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family. I also play video games competitively; having won a handful of competitions. Recently, I began studying and training in mixed martial arts; something I used to enjoy, but had not had time to do until now.

Events: HTCIA 2008

When: October 20-22
Where: Atlantic City’s Bally’s Hotel & Casino
           Atlantic City, New Jersey

Our HTCIA show is coming up quickly. It will be held at Bally’s Hotel in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The HTCIA has long been a central resource for training and collaboration among various fields in the field of Forensic Computer Investigation. Held at a new location every year, their annual conference and exhibition features procedural training courses, product demonstrations and networking events.

Our booth will feature our Forensic Data Recovery product line, including the Ninja-F, King Demi AS-F, Shinobi and Atola Insight. These products are big at exhibitions because these highly specific and unique products help forensic investigators to crack high-profile cases by recovering raw data from damaged suspect drives and pinpointing forensic evidence.

For more information about the show, please visit http://www.htciaconference.org/
